The Brief
HQ Group engaged Camm Upholstery to help transform the iconic Arbory Afloat venue ahead of its 2024 summer season. The project required a fast and considered approach to meet the demands of one of Melbourne’s most recognisable riverside spaces.
The scope included reviewing a new venue floorplan, recovering existing cushions, and designing and building brand-new banquette seating. Working closely with the design team, Camm ensured all finishes were vibrant, durable, and suited to the rooftop’s outdoor setting.

Our Approach
Delivered in three key stages over a tight four-month timeline, our approach centred on precision, flexibility, and collaboration with the design team.
We reupholstered existing cushions throughout the venue using a selection of Warwick fabrics, designed and built new banquette seating to suit the updated layout, and installed all pieces across multiple levels—from the ground floor to the rooftop—navigating complex site access and weather-related challenges along the way.
